Artificial Neurons can replace some real ones in our brain

Researchers have created the world's first Artificial Neuron which can parody the function of Organic Neuron.This could even replace some of the real neurons in our brain.


Artificial neurons are made of conductive polymers.Neurons store and transmit information in the brain.These are as small as fingertip and contain no living parts.Miniaturizing the neuron size would enable it's implantation into the human body.  
This is a potential way to end neurological disorders like spinal cord injuries and Parkinson's disease."Our artificial neuron is made of conductive polymers and it functions like a human neuron" said Agneta Ritcher-Dahlfors a lead researcher from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden.Neurons communicate in our brain through chemical signals.The first thing that Artificial neuron does is it detects chemical signals which are then transmitted electrically from one neuron to another.Then the electrical signals release chemical neurotransmitters in response.Well,Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that carry signals in the brain.Artificial neurons are also able to communicate over large distances.By replacing artificial neurons in the place of a damaged nerve cell can be helpful  to develop new treatments for neurological disorders.In another breakthrough MIT engineers designed a chip with artificial synapses.Synapses are the connections which allow's neurons to communicate with  one another.
Artificial synapse allows for precise control of electrical currents flowing along them,it's similar to the way ions flow between neurons.The process resembles the way how synapses synchronize the nerve cells in the human brain.The artificial synaptic chip which is designed by MIT engineers recognized samples of handwriting with an accuracy of 95%.Artificial Synapses are the key things for building an artificial brain,these chips can be a part for making portable artificial intelligence devices.That could perform complex computations in the                                                                                          future
